Betty Minimum Deposit

C$20 on Interac and cards, C$10 through a wallet, C$30 on crypto. The floor is the easy part — what it does and does not unlock is where people get caught.

Lowest floor: C$10

Min payout: C$20

The Betty minimum deposit in Canada is C$20 on every Interac and card route, C$10 through a wallet, C$30 on crypto and C$50 on a bank transfer. Those are the cashier's floors and they are the same whether you are a new account or a five-year regular.

The floor is not the interesting number, though. Three other numbers sit around it and each of them trips somebody up. The offer threshold, which is set separately and is often higher than the deposit minimum. The payout floor, which means a balance under C$20 cannot come back out at all. And your bank's own e-Transfer fee, which is trivial on a C$300 transfer and irritating on a C$20 one.

This page covers all four, method by method, with the numbers checked against the live cashier rather than lifted from a terms page. If you have not decided how you are funding the account yet, start with the Betty payment methods guide — the rail you choose to deposit on also decides how you get paid.

Debit cards: C$20, instant, and the credit card trap

Visa Debit and Mastercard debit both start at C$20 and both land instantly. Apple Pay and Google Pay sit on top of the same cards with the same floor, and they are the fastest way to fund an account from a phone because the card details are already there.

The thing to avoid is a credit card. Canadian issuers that allow a gambling deposit at all almost invariably code it as a cash advance: a flat fee of a few dollars, then interest from the moment it posts, with no grace period. On a C$20 minimum deposit that overhead can be a tenth of what you put in before you have spun anything. Look for the word "Debit" beside the logo; if it is not there, use a different card.

One asymmetry worth remembering while you are choosing: Visa Debit can receive a payout, Mastercard cannot. A C$20 Mastercard deposit will be paid back to you by Interac e-Transfer or bank transfer instead, which is not a problem, only a surprise if nobody said so.

Interac and bank rails

Interac e-Transfer is the default for good reason: C$20 minimum, instant in practice, nothing charged at the cashier, and it can send a payout back the other way. iDebit and Instadebit share the same C$20 floor and can also receive money. If you are looking for Interac Online, it is gone — Interac retired the product on 31 May 2024, and any page still listing it as a deposit option has not been updated since.

The one cost that catches people on a small deposit is on your side of the transaction. Some Canadian chequing accounts include a limited number of free Interac e-Transfers a month and charge roughly a dollar or two beyond that. On a C$20 deposit that is a real percentage. If you are on such a plan and you deposit little and often, either move to an unlimited plan or deposit less frequently in slightly larger amounts — the arithmetic is straightforward and it is your bank's fee, not the casino's.

Bank transfer is the outlier: C$50 in, C$50 out, and one to three business days at each end. There is very little reason to use it as a deposit route when e-Transfer exists, and it mostly turns up as the fallback the cashier uses when the rail you deposited on cannot pay you back.

Wallets: the only route to a C$10 deposit

MuchBetter, Neteller and Skrill all take C$10, which is the lowest floor available anywhere in the cashier. All three are instant, free, and able to receive a payout, which makes them genuinely useful for anyone who plays in small amounts and withdraws often.

The catch is what happens before the deposit. If your money starts in a Canadian chequing account, you have to move it into the wallet first, and that funding step carries its own timing and occasionally its own fee. Deposit C$10 having spent five minutes and a card charge topping up the wallet and you have not saved anything over a C$20 e-Transfer. The wallets earn their place when you keep a working balance in them, not when you top up per session.

Paysafecard sits apart from the rest: C$20 minimum, bought with cash at a corner store or gas station, redeemed as a PIN at the cashier. It is the only method here that does not touch your bank account at all, which is exactly why some people use it — and it cannot pay you back, so any winnings come out on another rail.

Checked against the live cashier on 28 August 2026. Availability depends on which licence your account sits under — the Ontario and Alberta products carry a shorter approved list than the international one, so a method missing from your cashier is a regulatory decision rather than a fault. Your own bank or wallet may impose a lower ceiling than the column above.

The deposit floor is not the offer threshold

This is the single most expensive misunderstanding on the page, and it is entirely avoidable. The cashier minimum is set by the payments team; the qualifying amount for a welcome offer is set by the marketing team. They are frequently different numbers, and the offer one is usually higher.

The consequence is unforgiving. Deposit below the qualifying amount and the offer does not attach, and you cannot make it attach afterwards by topping up — the system looks at the single qualifying transaction, not at your running total. A second deposit is a second deposit, not a correction to the first.

Before your first transfer, check three things

  • · The qualifying deposit amount in the offer terms, not on the promotional banner.
  • · Whether your chosen method is excluded — prepaid vouchers and some wallets often are.
  • · The wagering multiple and which games contribute to it, because a 40x requirement on a slots-only offer is a very different proposition from 40x across the lobby.

A note specific to Ontario. Under the AGCO's advertising standards, operators and their affiliates are not permitted to publicly advertise bonuses and inducements to Ontario players — which is why a promotion you read about on a general Canadian page may simply not appear when you log in from Toronto. It has not been withdrawn and you have not been excluded; the offer is visible inside the account rather than on a public page. Alberta, regulated since 13 July 2026, is developing its own advertising rules under the Alberta iGaming Corporation, so expect the same pattern there over time.

A C$20 deposit in 60 seconds

The whole process, start to finish, as it runs on the current cashier. On a phone it is about a minute; the only part that varies is how quickly your banking app opens.

  1. 1 Open the cashier and pick Interac e-Transfer. It is usually the first option for a Canadian account. If it is not showing, you are probably not logged in to a Canadian-region account — and note that the old Interac Online option has not existed since May 2024, so do not go hunting for it.
  2. 2 Enter C$20 — or the offer's qualifying amount if you want the bonus. The cashier will refuse anything under C$20 on this rail rather than rounding it up.
  3. 3 Copy the transfer details exactly. Recipient address, the amount, and the reference or security answer. The reference is what matches your money to your account; a transfer sent without it lands in a manual queue and can take a day to appear.
  4. 4 Send it from your banking app as a normal e-Transfer. Nothing special is required at your bank's end. If your bank asks you to confirm a first-time recipient, do so.
  5. 5 Set your deposit limit while you wait. The balance normally appears within a minute. This is the right moment to set a daily or weekly limit in the responsible gambling section, before the money is in play rather than after.
  6. 6 Upload your verification documents now, not later. Sixty seconds here saves a day or more on your first withdrawal. The withdrawal times page explains exactly which three documents are wanted.

When a minimum deposit is refused

A refused C$20 deposit almost never has anything to do with the amount. The five causes below account for nearly all of them, and in every case the money stays in your account — what you may see for a day or two is a pending authorisation that then drops off by itself.

What a C$20 deposit looks like on your statement

Not as the casino's name. An Interac e-Transfer appears as a regular outgoing transfer to the payment processor's registered name — an abbreviated company name, often with a city, and usually nothing that reads as gaming. A card deposit shows as a purchase with a similar descriptor. Processors get rotated, so the exact string changes from time to time.

Two practical points. Identify a transaction by its amount and timestamp against your cashier history rather than by reading the descriptor, which is the only match that will reliably hold. And do not assume a neutral-looking descriptor means the transaction is invisible to your bank — the merchant category code underneath still says gambling, which is precisely how a bank-level block catches it. There is more detail on this, including what a payout looks like coming back, on the payment methods page.

Betty minimum deposit FAQ

What is the minimum deposit at Betty Casino?

C$20 on Interac e-Transfer, iDebit, Instadebit, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Paysafecard. Wallets such as MuchBetter, Neteller and Skrill take C$10, and crypto starts at C$30. Bank transfer is C$50. Interac Online no longer exists — Interac retired it on 31 May 2024.

Can I deposit C$10 at Betty?

Only through a wallet. MuchBetter, Neteller and Skrill accept C$10; every Interac and card route stops at C$20. If you funded the wallet from your bank first, you have added a step rather than saved money, so for most people C$20 on e-Transfer is the simpler floor.

Does the minimum deposit qualify for the welcome offer?

Not always, and this is the mistake that costs people a bonus. The deposit floor and the offer threshold are two separate numbers set by two separate teams. Read the qualifying amount in the offer terms before you transfer, because a deposit made below it cannot be topped up into qualifying afterwards.

Is there a fee for making a small deposit at Betty?

No. The cashier charges nothing regardless of size. Your own bank might, if you are on a chequing plan with a limited number of free Interac e-Transfers a month — that fee is a couple of dollars and it hurts proportionally more on a C$20 transfer than on a C$200 one.

What is the minimum withdrawal at Betty?

C$20 on most rails and C$50 on a bank transfer, so the payout floor sits at roughly the same level as the deposit floor. A balance below C$20 cannot be withdrawn — it has to be played through or left, which is worth knowing before you deposit the bare minimum.

How far does a C$20 deposit actually go?

On C$0.20 spins, one hundred of them. On C$0.50 spins, forty. Slot volatility means a C$20 balance on a high-variance game can be gone in three minutes or last an hour, which is why the low-stake, low-volatility end of the lobby is where a minimum deposit is worth playing.

Why is my C$20 deposit being declined?

Usually the amount is not the problem. Check for a bank-level gambling block, a credit rather than debit card, a name mismatch between card and account, an unanswered 3-D Secure prompt, or a deposit limit you set yourself. In all of those the money never leaves your account.

Can I lower the minimum by depositing in a different currency?

No. Canadian accounts are held in CAD and the floors are set in CAD. Funding from a foreign account converts at your bank's rate and may add a foreign transaction fee, which makes a small deposit worse rather than cheaper.

Does a minimum deposit affect withdrawal speed?

Not directly. The pending review and the transfer time are the same whether the balance came from C$20 or C$2,000. What a small deposit does affect is which rail you can be paid out on, because money has to return the way it came up to the amount you deposited.

Is there a maximum deposit at Betty?

C$3,000 per Interac e-Transfer, C$5,000 per card transaction, C$10,000 on wallets and bank transfer. On top of the cashier ceilings you can set your own daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit, and reducing that limit applies immediately.

Start at C$20 — and set a limit while you are there

Interac e-Transfer from C$20, instant, nothing charged at the cashier. Check the offer's qualifying amount before you send, not after.
