Betty Is It Down
Nine times out of ten it is not. Here is how to tell a genuine platform outage from something on your own connection in about a minute, and what happens to your money either way.
No platform-wide outage reported
CheckedThis is a monitored editorial status, not an automatic ping — we check the site, the cashier and the lobby on a schedule and log anything that fails, rather than pretending to be a live uptime probe. A genuine outage shows up here and in the log below. If the site is not loading for you and this panel is green, the diagnostic below will usually find the reason inside a minute.

The 60-second diagnostic
Work down this list in order. It is arranged by how often each step turns out to be the answer, so most people stop at step two.
- 1 Switch to mobile data. Turn Wi-Fi off on your phone and load the site. If it works, the fault is your home network or your ISP's DNS, not the casino. This single test settles it more often than everything else combined.
- 2 Open a private window with extensions off. Ad blockers and privacy extensions break casino sessions constantly — usually by blocking the cookie that keeps you logged in rather than by blocking the page.
- 3 Turn off any VPN or proxy. A location error is nearly always this. Availability is set by province, so a VPN exit node in another country or another province will get you blocked even with a perfectly valid account.
- 4 Clear the site's cookies and cached data, then reload. A stale session token produces some genuinely strange behaviour: pages half-loading, a balance that will not update, a login that appears to succeed and then bounces you out.
- 5 Try one game from a different provider. If a single game fails and the rest work, that studio is having a bad day and the casino is fine.
- 6 Only now assume an outage. If the site fails on two networks, two devices and a clean browser, it is genuinely down. Wait rather than repeatedly retrying a deposit — repeated attempts during a fault are how people end up with duplicate pending authorisations on a card.
Fixes by symptom
| What you see | Usual cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Site will not load at all | DNS or ISP routing | Test on mobile data; if that works, restart the router |
| Logged out every few minutes | A blocked session cookie | Private window, extensions disabled |
| "Not available in your region" | VPN, proxy or out-of-province network | Turn the VPN off and reload |
| Lobby loads, one game will not | Provider-side fault | Play something from another studio and come back later |
| Cashier will not open | Payment gateway maintenance | Wait; do not retry the deposit repeatedly |
| Balance looks wrong after a disconnect | The round settled server-side while you were away | Check game history before contacting support |
What happens to your money during a fault
This is the part people actually worry about, and the reassuring answer holds in nearly every case: the browser is a display, not the ledger. A spin is settled on the game server the moment the round is accepted, so a connection dropping halfway through an animation does not change the outcome. Log back in and the balance reflects what the server recorded. If the round was never accepted, the stake was never taken.
Pending withdrawals sit in a back-office queue that is separate from the website. A front-end outage does not cancel them, does not return them to your playable balance and does not lose them. It can add a few hours to the queue once things come back, which is worth knowing before you assume a payout has gone missing.
The one place where a fault can genuinely cost you something is a deposit retried too many times. Each attempt can leave its own pending authorisation on a card, and while those drop off on their own within a few business days, seeing four of them on a statement is alarming. If a deposit fails during an outage, stop, wait, and check the cashier history before trying again. The payment methods page covers what a pending authorisation looks like and how long it takes to disappear.
Error codes and what they actually mean
| Code | Meaning | Yours or theirs? |
|---|---|---|
| 403 | Access refused — geo-block, VPN or a blocked region | Usually yours |
| 404 | The page has moved; the site itself is fine | Neither — use the menu rather than a saved link |
| 502 / 504 | A server behind the front end is not answering | Theirs — wait it out |
| 503 | Maintenance, planned or otherwise | Theirs — usually short |
| "Session expired" | A cookie was cleared or blocked mid-session | Yours — log back in |
| "Game unavailable" | That studio's content server is down | A provider's, not the casino's |
Outage log
A running record rather than a snapshot: every disruption we have confirmed ourselves or corroborated from more than one independent report, newest first. Short entries are the norm — a casino outage that runs past an hour is unusual.
| Date | What broke | Duration | Money affected? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 18 Aug 2026 | One slot provider's games would not launch | ~2h 40m | No |
| 30 Jul 2026 | Scheduled overnight platform maintenance | ~45m | No |
| 13 Jul 2026 | Slow logins during the Alberta launch traffic spike | ~1h 15m | No |
| 2 Jun 2026 | Interac deposits failing at the gateway | ~50m | Deposits declined, none taken |
| 21 Apr 2026 | Site unreachable for some ISPs (DNS) | ~25m | No |
Durations are from first confirmed report to first confirmed recovery, so they run slightly long. "Money affected" means money that left an account and did not arrive — a declined deposit is not money affected, because nothing was taken. Log last updated 1 September 2026.
What players report
"Thought the site was down for two days. It was my ad blocker eating the login cookie. Private window worked first try."
Ontario player, forum thread — 26 August 2026
"Lost connection mid-bonus round. Logged back in twenty minutes later and the round had finished itself and paid. Balance was right."
Alberta player, review site comment — 19 August 2026
"Deposit kept failing during the June gateway thing, so I tried it four times. Four pending charges on my statement for a week. Nothing was actually taken but it looked bad."
Ontario player, forum thread — 4 June 2026
What changed in the last year
Two things, both structural. Alberta joining the regulated market on 13 July 2026 roughly doubled the addressable audience overnight, and the launch-day login queue in the log above is what that looked like from a player's seat. And the shift of more of the lobby onto third-party studios means an increasing share of what people call an outage is really one provider's content servers, which is why the diagnostic above puts "try another studio" ahead of "assume it is down". If a fault is stopping you getting paid rather than stopping you playing, the withdrawal times page is the better place to look — a slow payout is far more often a verification queue than an outage.
Betty status FAQ
Is Betty down right now?
Most reports of Betty being down turn out to be local: a stale session, a DNS cache, a VPN, or an ISP hiccup. Run the 60-second diagnostic on this page before assuming a platform outage — if the site loads on mobile data but not on home Wi-Fi, the problem is on your side of the connection.
What happens to my spin if Betty goes down mid-game?
The round is settled by the game server, not by your browser. If the spin was accepted before the connection dropped, the result is recorded and the balance is corrected when you log back in. If it was not accepted, the stake was never taken. Either way you should see the outcome in your game history rather than having to guess.
What happens to a pending withdrawal during an outage?
It stays pending and it stays yours. Payout processing is a back-office job that runs independently of the website, so a front-end outage does not cancel anything. What it can do is add a few hours to the queue once service resumes.
Why does Betty say I am in a restricted region?
Almost always a VPN, a proxy or a corporate network routing you through another country. Turn it off and reload. Availability is set by province, so an account opened in one province can also throw a location error while you are travelling in another.
Why does the Betty cashier load but the games do not?
Game content is served by the studios rather than by the casino, so a single provider having trouble takes out part of the lobby while everything else works. If one game will not open and the rest do, that is the shape of it — try a different provider before reporting a fault.
I am logged out every few minutes — is that an outage?
No, that is a session problem, and it is usually a cookie blocked by a browser extension or a strict privacy setting. Try a private window with extensions disabled; if it holds there, the extension is the culprit.
Where can I check Betty status officially?
There is no public status dashboard, which is normal for casino operators. Live chat inside the account is the fastest authoritative answer during business hours, and the outage log on this page is the running record we keep between times.
How long do Betty outages usually last?
The ones we have logged over the past year have run from about twenty minutes to just under three hours, with scheduled maintenance sitting at the short end and provider-side game outages at the long end. Nothing in that period has run past a single day.
Everything loading normally?
Then the site is fine and so is your balance. If something still looks wrong after the diagnostic, live chat inside the account is the fastest authoritative answer.
